Squeezing the middle class from all sides has become the go-to legislation for Congress and Big Corporation. And this week is no exception.
In case you missed it, B of A announced that they’re implementing an “efficiency program.” And what does that play-on-words mean?
Well, the B of A “efficiency program” kicks off with a big sayonara to 30,000 jobs. Starting real soon, tens of thousands of B of A employees will begin receiving pink slips.
But wait, there’s more.
Billion $$$ Government Bailout
Barak has (finally) announced his jobs plan. Sounds great at first blush!
Except his solution to create jobs comes with a price tag to the tax payer! What??
Another $447 billion. Is that job creation …. or a bailout?
Private Sector Ignored
The question begs to be asked: how does this benefit the private sector?
We’ve got entrepreneurs itching to chomp on the bit, but not enough capital.
Instead big corps like Solyndra is handed by our regulators, an unregulated, no-strings attached, whopping half billion dollars that they rather-quickly blew. And remain unaccountable for.
So why would I want our government involved in job creations when they’ve proven they’re terrible at it? The answer is: I don’t!
Innovation Stifled!
So what is our government’s job? Is it to “control” or “incentivize.”
Saying and doing are two separate things. One one hand, we hear this government tout job creation agendas.
On the other hand, we feel the heavy arm of stifling programs. Obamacare, a bill so important it had to be passed in the middle of the night, has turned the 40-hour work week into 29 hours.
Hardly enough wage to live on.
So what’s an entrepreneur to do?
The Grip of a Politician
If our Forefather’s could see the lawmakers of today, I’d bet they’d roll over in their graves.
Slugs who’ve performed brilliantly at voting in some great stuff for themselves: pay raises, health care packages, vacations. And lots of bennies for their pals at those corporations they love to hate, yet remain in bed with.
So how does this tie this into Bank of America’s layoff’s? Here’s an idea:
How ’bout we pull our own “efficiency program!” Draw every last penny out of their vaults and let their decision-makers fry. They are not too big to fail.
Be Innovative No Matter What
So whatever you do for a living … do something also on the side.
Cover your bases … and your ass.
I know people who have actually gone and got dual passports! Yep, that’s how much confidence they have in our beloved America.
Food for thought!
