Not sure if it’s alluring, aligning, or simply preposterous in how (many) in the Black communities have tolerated, even embraced the “n” word in music, mostly rap, mostly written and sung by black artists. Yet let another utter that word, and bam, the media, and race-baiters go ballistic.
So I have to wonder: is denigrating your community a giant step towards creating a ripple-effect of self-fulfilled prophesies, thereby, potentially sealing the fate of the future of that community’s kids? A topic worth tabling. For today, I write for different reasons.
If Paula Deen, is guilty of anything, and worthy of being canceled from t.v., magazines burned, and sponsorship ripped out from under her, it’s for her wretched butter-lard-fried-fructose-gluten ridden recipes that could propel anyone into cardiac arrest within a few bites.
But to make her go down (like a sinking soufflé) for her use of the “n” word, when in fact, unfortunately, I am subjected to that demeaning term just about anytime I catch a BET presentation or rap hip hop or simply walk down Fifth Avenue and overhear chit chat amongst people of color.
Double-Standard Among Races
So there seems to be a double-standard here. And last week’s flub by MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry is no exception. Poking fun at a black kid, who also happens to be a
newly adopted Romney grandchild, is as vulgar as a Paula Deen recipe or remark.
Instead of this kid growing up parentless, or with drug parents, or who-knows-what (a situation you won’t hear Melissa Harris-Perry ridicule or even take note of), this child is now going to have one of life’s luckiest breaks. But acknowledging that would be counter to the MSNBC approach to ratings. Why praise American’s who have worked hard, contribute to society, and clearly take care of their own?
To have a panel mock this holiday picture is blasphemous yet, far more important than that, for the whole lot of them to ignore the “leaning in” of the loving girl cousin towards the new baby (stealing the show, in my book), is touching, tender and a reflection of a family devoted to family.
Melissa Harris-Perry, you’ve resurrected the term “boob tube.” But then, with so/so ratings, perhaps stirring controversy, even at the expense of a blessed infant, is the best you could do.
Take it away Kevin Jackson:
“Can I be the next black Romney grandson?
Given the chance to be a Romney, even at my age I would have to seriously consider it. Ok, let me stop lying…I would DO IT!
MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry and her panel recently ridiculed the Romneys for adopting a black baby, and the child was pictured on Grandpa Mitt Romney’s knee. When I saw that picture, I thought “How lucky is that kid?”
Funny how the Left doesn’t care when Hollyweirdos jet over to Africa to adopt “Mbutu,” but let the Romneys save an American black child, and the world has tilted off its axis. Let the ridicule begin.
It’s a political stunt, Harris-Perry panel and others on the Left claimed. Everybody knows that rich white Republicans hate black babies. In fact, they hate them so much, they adopt them.
What you won’t see in racist Liberal America is rich black Democrats adopting white babies. As for black babies, where are the sanctimonious blacks who are willing to step up and adopt all the black children waiting in foster care all over this country.
Here’s the answer: they are too busy making other baby makers.
The reason I love being a conservative is I can see things clearly. I can see that the Romneys didn’t adopt that black child for political reasons, but for Godly reasons. Did MSNBC think for ONE MOMENT the impact being adopted by a family such as the Romneys will make on that child’s life?
I dare the Left to get Obama’s family photo albums and compare them to the Romneys. The Romneys have photo albums of family stacked higher than Obamacare legislation, and Barack Obama’s photo albums would be the shortest pictorial story ever told.
Obama has family who won’t even visit the White House. Half-sister, half-brother, and the only pictures you see of Obama are those of his immediate family or that one “family” picture he got from Kenya.
The Romneys are not dope dealers or doing drive-bys in black neighborhoods. No, that is what Democrats do. The Romneys are a loving family who extended their love to a child who is fortunate to receive it.
MSNBC should have fired Melissa Harris-Perry for her vile attempt to portray the Romneys otherwise.

And, so I say to anyone who has just been blessed with a new child, Mazel Tov to the Romney’s.
